Why Training is a Must?

Strengthen the trust bond between owner and your pet is vital. When you understand the importance of building a ground floor foundation as your puppy grows and goes through developmental phases, you become armed with the necessary knowledge to work through many the challenges that may arise. Your dog and you will gain confidence through socialization with other class mates and training becomes fun and a great way to bond with your new adopted dog. Positive reinforcement is the best training technic at Foster Friends Rescue. Fur-Babies Fitness: 1 Day Workout

Want to try your PAW at Fido Fitness but can’t commit to a full 4-week session? Fido Fitness: 1 Day Workout is for you! If your dog can sit, down, and stand, your dog can do Fido Fitness! In this 90-minute session on a circuit, you’ll work on your dog’s flexibility and strength, as well as mental and balance behaviors. We’ll do some cardio, and either introduce treadmill or work on treadmill duration. Like a Pilates circuit for dogs!
Dog ages: 6 months and older. Schedule: 1 class, 90 minutes in length. Prerequisites: Owner and dog familiarity with lure/reward or clicker training; fluent sit, down, and stand; owner ability to sit, stand, and kneel on the ground.

Pooches That Pull

Does your dog pull you down the street? It’s time to make your daily walk a joy instead of a chore. Sign up now for Pooches That Pull, an intense 4-week class that will help turn you and your dog into the envy of your neighborhood!
Dog ages: 18 weeks and older. Schedule: 4 classes, 60 minutes in length. Prerequisites: Able to work in close proximity with other dogs and stay focused on the owner. Have completed a positive reinforcement, basic obedience class.

Dogs in heat are not permitted to attend class. No refund, exchange, or extension will be issued. Foster Friends. Rescue group classes are not meant to address serious aggression or behavior issues. Dogs exhibiting these behaviors will be asked to leave and no refund will be issued.

Attendance

Please be on time for class. In respect to other students, those who arrive 10 minutes late to class will not be admitted and will be marked as absent. We do not offer make-up sessions if you are unable to attend a regularly scheduled class. ALL minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Refund Policy

Classes must be paid for in full at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled start date including online registrations and manual registrations.

Every student must submit online registration.

If space is still available class registrations will be accepted until the start of the scheduled class.

Refunds & cancellations are offered 72 hours prior to the class’ scheduled start date.

Students must request a cancellation no later than 72 hours prior to the scheduled class start date.

Refunds will be processed within one week of students’ requests for refund/cancellation.

No refunds or cancellations after the first night of class.

No drop-ins or pro-rated class fees.

Once payment is received you will receive a receipt and class information via email.

Class cancellations, Rescheduling and Holidays

Most classes run weekly for six weeks. Please view specific class descriptions for more information. Classes can be canceled and/or postponed without notice. Most cancellations are usually due to weather. We will do our best to alert you if a class is canceled or rescheduled, so you may adjust your schedule accordingly. You will receive the full number of sessions, but the class end date may be later than anticipated. Individual classes can be canceled at any time without notice and as stated above, the end date is adjusted accordingly. Refunds are not given if you are unable to attend any scheduled classes.

All dogs who are frequently exposed including but not limited to, travel, competitions, boarding, and group play activities should be vaccinated against canine influenza, including H3N2. Dogs must be current on their Rabies, DHPP (or equivalent), and Bordetella vaccines and be in good general health. Fees paid for dogs excused from class due to a medical concern who are unable to return to class will not be refunded.
